[ the oc part i ]

By now I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing about Iraq. Just about every day there seems to be a headline that goes something like "(insert form of terrorism here) kills (insert number of people here) in (insert Iraqi city here)" and the efforts of a few foreigners skulking around in army uniforms (us) won't change that. Besides, the whole "war on terror" was obviously just a way for Bush to make a scapegoat out of one the most hated and misunderstood groups in America (does this remind you of anyone? oh yeah, Hitler), Middle Easterners. The populace should have identified this almost straight away but alas, the intellectual capacity of the average person constituting a wad of "the populace" is comparable to that of a vegetable. And now the war in Iran that (guess who) Bush seems to be gearing up for is based on the same principal, except the term "weapons of mass destruction" has largely been replaced with the sort-of-synonymous "nuclear weapons" (or, as it is so eloquently expectorated by our president, "nuke-u-lar"). The "Iraq war" that came before this one was slightly justified because it was supported by thirty or so nations, but only seems less ridiculous than this one until you realise that it was mostly organised by Bush Senior. Like father, like son I guess.

That's a good point at the end of the post Zach, I believe that this really was the son just trying to finish what his dad started.
