[ the oc part i ]

I don't know how many of you have heard this but Bush recently claimed that he gave up golf so he could empathise with dead troops and their families. Seriously, golf? Because, of course, having lost the privelege of playing golf you can relate so well with people who lost their sons and daughters in the war?? And not only is Bush's claimed attempt at relating with troops and their families lame and entertainingly pitiful, he doesn't even follow through with it: he claims to have given up golfing in August 2003...except a video from October of that year shows him happily swinging away.
And speaking of slimy Republicans, anyone catch the speech that McCain delivered today? I missed it, but apparently, he laughably believes that the Iraq war can be "won" and that that Osama bin Laden can be caught. He also said that despite our "winning" the war by the end of his projected first term, only "most" of the soldiers will be sent home. When questioned about whether this represented a timetable for getting the troops home, he fired off a non-sequitur comeback: "It's not a timetable, it's victory!" Huh?

That's probably one of the most ridiculous claims of equivalent situations I have ever heard. Giving up golf is absolutely nothing like losing a family member to war. What is he thinking? >.<

Everyone's so crazy nowadays.

hahaha... Bush is such a dumbass. And now the Secret Service is going to hunt me down and detain me in Guantanamo Bay for saying that. Like Harold and Kumar. Oh well. Yea that's pretty funny though. McCain thinks he can win the war? He's so cool. If he's so great maybe he can bring the dead soldiers back to life. And stop global warming. And what happens after Iraq is conquered? Do we get free gasoline for life? Who governs there, and how are we going to exterminate thousands of terrorists? Isn't that the same thing as genocide? I mean who cares if we're killing them to stop them from killing others? More terrorists will keep popping up, because they want us to kill them. They become martyrs and apparently float up to heaven. It's a noble death. I wonder if McCain has ever taken global history. He may need to consult with Larry and get his reasoning straightened out before he pours billions of dollars and thousands of lives into the business of mass murder.
